Anyone hear this? Every time I turn the car on, and turn it off to leave, I walk outside and I hear a faint long digital like noise in the engine... It's weird.. I dunno what it is or if its suppose to do that...
Most modern cars have something that runs after the motor is switched off.
THe easy way to figure it out is with a Cheap Mechanics Stethoscope. Get someone to shut the motor off when the hood is open and try to see if you can figure out what it is.
This is more than likely the servo motor in the throttle body.
I have read in the past that it closes the throttle plate once the engine is killed to prevent dieseling, then performs a "homing" routine.
