yeah I said thats for the guests... assuming theyre having a ton.

me personally, MY wedding, I wouldnt even care if there were guests so an open bar wouldnt be a requirement. It would however be something nice that I would try to get assuming there are more than a few guests

So it's okay to suggest to others to spend ridiculous amounts of money on an open bar but not a requirement for your own wedding?

Glad you have such good double standards.

I'm irish.. I don't htink I have a choice on the open bar front.

You'd be the first wedding to drink all the alcohol and beer a caterer would bring. There'd have to be a provision that stated "Must bring more than usual amount of alcohol. Groom is Irish." LOL!

We had under 100 guests and only had a 2 hour open bar. 1: b/c my parent's were paying for it and 2: b/c I didn't want guests driving home drunk. Call us cheap but it was a decision based on not only my parent's wallet but on caring about possible drunk driver's leaving my wedding schnockered and potentially hurting themselves or another person.

I'm not. You just made it seem like "open bar is a must for any wedding I attend." Like a cash bar is not worth YOUR time.

And then the "complaint" about not wanting the ceremony dragging on. WTF does it matter to you? It's their wedding! If you don't like it, don't show up until the reception.

This is why I don't want to get married yet. Too much drama.

Kidding, I'm poor.

You can limit the choice of brands.

I'll put aside a bottle of jameson 18 for me.

everyone else gets malt liquor and plastic bottle "russian" vodka (lol2)

For 85 people, 10 of which were getting photos taken? That's a bit steep for me. Plus we didn't have full liquor. Beer & wine only.
