I dont understand.
1. You had crap times, you say its a driver issue, I say, it was both, check your trap speed, 92MPH!!!!. Thats what I do @ 5psi. At 7psi I was able to do 14.7 @ 94 with a lot of practice and at 10psi the only test I did was 14.5 @ 97.7Mph.
2. So whats the deal with water injection and higher boost if its going to be slower?
3. worst than that...running slower with higher cylinder pressures!! Sure maybe you will not have detonation, but the rods may bend.
What I think about your setup is that you are injecting too much. The balance should be like 15% of the air or up to 25% for high boost. Check that and try again.
I don't think you understand. My times are better with the injection than without it. What gives you the impression that I'm slowing down with it? I ran in the mid 15's without it, and in the mid 14's with it.
I also don't think you quite understand drag racing. If you can't get traction, your trap speed will be slower as well, because you will have less distance to get up to speed (because you wasted a bunch of it while spinning). I also don't think you have ever raced at a ghetto track. How could you think it's NOT my fault- I ran a 16 with stock boost and no injection. Our cars are way faster than 16 stock.
My trap speed was in the upper 80's stock. THATS SLOW. But thats also my fault, just like the other times are also my fault. A 14.5 isn't bad for a bad driver. If I was able to go to the track more often, my times would be better and better every time.
So, let's recap-
I'm not running slower with higher boost and injection . I'm running far faster than I was stock. The car pulls way harder, but the sad fact is that I just can't manage to prove it with good slips, because I suck at driving FWD. I used to hit 1.9x 60 foot times in my Firebird (V6, not V8), but I can only manage 2.2's and 2.3's in this car, and I just spin all the time.
Don't compare my times to other people's times, compare my times to my other times. You will see a 1.5 second improvement over stock. Thats a huge difference. If I could drive 15.3 stock, then that would be in the 13's. But, I can't, so its not.
P.S. I am running about 17% water to air, and always have been. There's nothing wrong with my setup- only your interpretation of my times.
