Warrenty help!! ms3

long story short i need to take her in because of some weird clicking noise thats getting louder by the day i believe it may be the idler pulley. my question is my car is completely stock but i am running an open second cat(all 3 resos gone) i no a cat back should not void the warranty but with no exhaust at all will i have a problem with the warranty?

Are you meaning to say you gutted your stock exhaust (downpipe back)?

If you are running the stock downpipe, you should have no issues with warranty. If you are not running a catback at all, they might try to screw you. Hell, they might try to screw you anyway.

Keep in mind, they cannot void your warranty without proving that your modifications caused the failure of oem equipment.

Walk in, don't mention that you modified anything unless they ask. If they ask, be truthful. Always be polite and don't walk in being an asshole because they will be gunning for your warranty then.

I don't think you will have any issues (unless you are actually running with nothing connected to your downpipe).

na i have not touched the downpipe or the second cat just basically have a straight pipe cat back section and when you start it you can def tell its not the stock exhaust lol

you will be fine with that... as long as you have not touched your cats or downpipe, you are golden.

ok thats what i thought but im not sure whats really wrong with it so i wanna be safe just in case its something semi serious but i do believe its the idler pully but might be the throwout bearing either way i dont see how the exhaust would effect it at all.
thanks

True story. I'm at work, so I assume the rest of the world is too lol. Shift work sucks :(
