2002 P5
Hey guys,

I just wanted to post a warning regarding boosting the p5. My car was boosted for a while using a conservative turbo setup. The car was dyno tuned and installed properly. I was only boosting at 7psi on premium fuel with synthetic fluids. My motor just let go at 113 000kms. (approx.70000miles). If I can say anything to p5 owners who want to boost. SPEND THE MONEY AND GET FORGED INTERNALS.

What ems did you have? What type of turbo? What about timing control?

I am boosting harder than that and for more mileage, so something else may have been in play.

Gee, If I didn't know any better I would say that I wrote this myself! lol! Only difference is I made it to 118,000 kms.
BTW, the machine shop just finished with my block (Pauter/Arias O.B.) and they're waiting for my mechanic to pick it up...
Might be back on the road next weekend! Just in time for winter :(

Sorry to hear that. But it seems like everyone has to learn the hard way (including me). Maybe one day people will listen and just do it right the first time around.

Oh it was still fun beforehand! I got several months of daily driving @ 7.5 psi before things started to let go. Just enough of a teaser to justify the next step... :D
