Warning about Perrin SRI

Finally a response from Perrin by email today, they are still delayed with the silicone manufacturer and hoping for them to arrive any day.

Assuming I get one, I'll let everyone know how it works. As for the existing intake, I think this thread is useful to folks who might be considering the Perrin until a new model is available- just be aware of my situation.

u know what...ever since i installed my perrin sri (2 days ago) ive noticed my car idles really really rough when im stopped - it feels like i have to give it some gas so it wont stall. but im hoping its only cuz its time for my 30k tuneup? o well, ill see after i take it to get tuned up this weekend.

Does your BOV recirc or vent to the atmosphere? I assume you reset your ECU after installing the SRI?

Ben

my bov vents with dual setup...and yes i unplugged the battery before i installed the sri

EDIT: my car idled fine before the sri was in there though fyi

This is weird. I've had no problems with my SRI. I'm venting with a forge BOV and only have a silicone upper IC pipe. No real mods for me yet.....

Well, that was March and now its May. Still no working part or word from Perrin.

I'll never buy anything from these guys again after this experience. Bad product, bad service.

Supposedly a new one is one its way today. I always seem to get a response when I post something in here about it, but nothing when I don't. Who knows. I'll let you guys know how it works out.

Mine never ran right either and I had the perrin fmic, intake, exhaust etc. Also running a bigger bpv and greddy type s bov. I finally got fed up with it and took it off and am planning a different setup now.

Hopefully you get your new redesigned intake. Good luck.

wtf, I would take legal action against them if there not at least refunding your money. Ask for your money back. This s*** always pisses me off. I mean, I bet Perrin makes overall great products and Im waiting for their perrin pulley, but they way there treating you its' not just them. Many auto companies act like this, it's not a singular event. Case in point Ion; great products bad service.
