just out in beautiful 65 degree weather. the front clunk was gone :D i didn't really hear much from the back. I'm sure when it gets cold again it will be back :(

What is this front clunk I hear about? I have rear clunk and thats it, I do have front squeeks is that what your referring to PH?

Warm weather didn't stop my car from clunking as well. Dealerships wouldn't change my bushings anymore....I'll be speaking to the regional director when he comes in.(smash)

please don't get the rear clunk and the front squeaks confused. This was part of the problem of getting Mazda to address the problem to begin with. THe slightest noise from their car, and people called it the clunk, and mazda just assumed all the noises were the same thing. We have to keep our stories straight here or we won't have a chance in getting anything fixed.

Squeaky bushings is not an uncommon thing among high end suspensions. this is something you all may just have to live with. When it warms up, it should go away some. Mine however, used to do it all the f'n time, summer or winter.

The struts making that metal scrapeing sound, and the rear clunk are legit problems. These are the main things we are trying to fix. By redesigning the bushings, there may be a side effect of getting rid of the squeaky noises as well, but I'm not holding my breath. We'll have to see what the redesign is.

Newf, you're continueing to do a kickass job with this stuff, we all appreciate it!

MrMP3, those front squeaks are not normal, you should have them replaced by the dealership, it will stop the noise immediately, and you'll notice a nice improvement in handling (no matter what the temp) I personally think it is just cheap parts/cutting corners that causes the front squeak (well, and the rear clunk too)

as mentioned before , I should know something concrete this week. They said they would contact me this week. I also have another meeting with the district rep very soon in person, before the end of March. I know I'm being kinda hush hush, and I'm sorry. Once I know something that's 100% sure, you guys will know.

hang in there guys. Remember, there's no sense in me buying a Mazdaspeed if I can't get this damn clunk thing resolved :)

i hear ya newf, no need to feed us info that isnt concrete. When you get the real deal then let it loose!! Great work and dedication tryin to help us. BTW my car is in the shop now, just dropped it off. Getting them replaced....again. I will mention to the mngr. about the new fix comming out. Mine still clunk as bad as ever. even when it was 60F. Not to mention it clunks and squeeks from every corner of the car. hopefully this will all be resolved soon.
Thanks again Newf!

Thanks Scott, I will look into that soon, I was kinda hesitating in getting the front fixed until they found a rear clunk fix first, But maybe I shouldnt wait?

I'd bring it in. More people that bring it in complaining about the front as well, the better. I'm focusing on getting the back clunk fixed first, and then move onto the front. But, if there is a history of mp3 owners with the front problem, now that Mazda is paying more attention to us, they might step up and do something there as well.

I'm not really sure on their take of the front right now. I'll bring this up the next time I get together with da man.
