well good point but i like to change stuff up at car shows, and i would put it on if i get stuck in the rain so no rain would get on it and stain it,, to much to polish up every day lol.,,, and no i dont have the mounting brackets, good of pointing that out,,,

the cover has slats cut in it for air to pass through... so, "protection" would be a poor use for it...
