wanted. protege5 drop springs

Thanks.
I was hoping to find something local so I can get this thing to the bodyshop.
anybody recommend a shop in town that handles Eibach?
need to order something today.

Tunerworks should be able to get them.

Also try Autopartsway.ca, they list the Eiback pro kit for $328 and free shipping (part # 5541.140). just make sure you cross reference the part number with the Eibach website to make sure these are the P5 springs and not for the sedan.

I would try for tokicos first they will probabley hold up allot better i know someone who has them installed on there p5 and they look good. Try ebay

Last I checked there was a guy on kijiji selling some Tein H-Techs. I think they ran something like a 1"-1.5" drop. Nothing too low, but the upside is we live in Alberta and you really can't go that low unless you're on adjustables/coilovers.

I'm gonna see if the wife can live with the 2" drop....or more accurately if the car and the wife can live togEther with the 2' drop. lol
just shot the new hatch over to the body shop to get painted....man these are great cars with the exception of the rust in the rear.
beyond happy after owning an R/T Nitro that sucked fuel back at a record pace.

I have a set of used MSP springs, used for 110,000km. $50 if you want them.

Ive seen pics of a P5 with MSP springs and it looked good, very modest drop.

been away for a bit.
Thanks Geomatics, if I find the 2" are too low then I may take you up on those.
Funkytuqe, do you mean the ass end will sag with just doing springs alone without struts?
dammit...this thing is outta control, lmfao, I have a pile of parts sitting here and the pile is growing by the day...
Shipping the wife and little guy out for a vacation next week and then I'll get down to business and get this s*** installed.

thanks for the input, very much appreciated.

If you use the MAZDASPEED Protege springs, then you will need the MAZDASPEED protege rear struts. The MSP rear strut spring perch sits about 1" higher than the p5 rear strut perch in order to accommodate the springs. If you use the P5 rear struts with MSP springs, the rear will sit lower than the front and you get a sagging look. The MSP front springs work fine with the P5 front struts. Look at the link in my sig, it has some pictures of the MSP setup on my P5 along with picture comparison between the P5 and MSP rear Struts.

Other spring setups are fine with the p5 struts, it's just the MSP springs that require the right struts.

cool, thanks for the info.

I've got auto temp here right now installing the Viper autostart/alarm and my new Kenwood player since mine s*** the bed over the weekend.
may have had a mazdaspeed muffler come in as well...lol. dangerous with a catalog in my hand.

Nice! The Mazdaspeed Axleback is a nice piece. Great sound, not too loud. You might be able to pick one up on the forum for cheap. The MSP axleback needs to be modified to fit the P5 correctly, again pics are in the link in my sig.

Hey Warren, I've got some MSP Springs and struts and MSP exhaust kicking around, if your interested in anything just shoot me a pm.

Ricky

Will do Ricky! Thanks.

I LOVE the sounds of the Mazda Speed muffler on this thing. subtle at idle and not raspy at all, just a nice low tone.
Bolted right on no sweat and has lots of clearance everywhere. I did put a tie strap on the one mount just to get the tip perfectly centered in the bumper cut out, but that was more OCD than anything.
liftgate came out of the booth yesterday at Telkor and having new back glass dropped in today, tint tomorrow, install this weekend.

Auto Temp did an awesome job on the Viper and Kenwood install, now I just need to get a bit of bass in there......
picked up a rattle in the front suspension, I have new links and bushings(what a b**** those are) so I guess I'll look at the control arms next to see what the ball joints look like,.

Most likely the link bushings causing rattles. I had to cut mine out they were rusted/seized pretty bad.

new links and brand new bushings...just waiting for things to slow down in the shop to bring it in.
Was coming through construction in B.C. this weekend and hit a monster lip in the road....the rattle sure didn't get better after that...on the bright side I didn't bend the front rims or bulge the tires.....man that had me a bit concerned for a few miles afterwards.

If u put in new bushings make sure u grease them with silicone or theyll start to squeek again
