so what do you need to purchase? the unit and knock sensor? I am guessing everything else is an option.

TurfBurn said:Actually the AND And AND is the way most of them come.
I'll work out settings with John as well as I know the motors and the unit well and we can get it setup so it is ideal for you guys...
The one thing the unit CAN'T do, is advance timing... but typically that isn't an issue with a stock ECU combined with boost... I'll talk to John today and get working on a group buy for you guys and see if I can work something for you to outdo previous pricing if I can.
Later!

All I saw was for the Miata

Turf, wasn't you one of the original board members along with guys like Linux who actually setup the pre-made RPM maps?
John from J&S was talking about sombody from the forum who helped him alot and very knowledgable when it came to eletronics and cars and such...
my J&S has pre-made maps to pull 3,6 or 9 degrees starting at 4000rpm - 5500rpm and then begins to slowly add it back starting at 5500rpms
I bought my J&S from Cory and I also bought Patrick's J&S setup as well for Moeed to use on his soon to be Modern Performance boosted P5...
1) No, I think it is narrowband onlyCasopoliS said:Sweet. Well I am awaiting pricing and GB options.
#1 - Am I right in saying Bosch sensor + combo gauge would give me WB O2?
#2 - Can a kit be included in the GB that would include an O2 sensor?
#3 - How does the knock sensor mount?
Thanks!
TurfBurn said:1) No, I think it is narrowband only
2) If narrowband you already have the O2 sensor
3) it mounts to the block into the threads on the block itself.
TurfBurn said:John provides an adapter that fits into the block. The holes are already there, no drilling or the like, but I do recommend that you re-tap the threads to get the garbage out of the hole.
TurfBurn said:No, but as I said in my other post... boost + stock ECU timing usually doesn't result in any need to up timing..
I'm also willing to offer Microtech plus JandS packages as well... probably be around 1500-1600 for a JandS and Microtech combo... full standalone and protection for less than 1800.
TurfBurn said:I have not used the JandS AFR gauge and in general I just won't go near anything that uses a narrowband sensor even if it is calibrated to a range. It is good that they are limiting it and making it somewhat more believable though through that method, so from that standpoint is reasonable at least.
We don't have a source for widebands at this point (other than the AEM, which i"m not a fan of... so I won't sell it to customers typically unless they specifically request it) so I'll have to work on that, but I would be able to work something out. Profit margins on things like that are usually super small so it's often hard to offer any discount as you'll usually be near break even as is. But I would certainly consider it if there was any ability to do so!
