Wagon...Diesel...Questions.

We're looking at a new car and are considering a Mazda3 or Mazda6.

Will the US be getting any diesel models or a wagon any time soon? I love the 6, but would prefer it in wagon form so as of right now I'm leaning towards the 3, but am still keeping my options open.

I believe the diesel engine is speculated to arrive this fall. There are no current plans for the wagon in the US, much to my dismay.

The newer Mazda3 will also be arriving late this year/early next year, so you have that to consider as well.

The Mazda6 will get the Diesel this fall. Unfortunately, it won't get the Wagon variant.

If you plan on getting the current 2nd gen Mazda3, wait a few more months until the all new 3rd gen arrives. Dealers will be wanting to work a good deal with you to rid their remaining old stock. The new 3 will be unveiled in July and won't arrive at dealers until late Fall.
