VSS on a 2009 (non-Nav)?

Looks like I can get at the VSS under the hood, but the meter is CAN bus, does that sound about right?

The (very good) suspension of the 6 is throwing off the 'learn' on my AVIC . . . the 3-d sensor was pretty good with my CR-V, but it had LOTS of "directional feedback" (let's call it that).

So far, the Mazda wiring diagrams have been the most apocryphal I've read to date (for official documentation).

Does anyone have experience with this yet?

Think I found some pay-dirt. Speedo has a white wire that goes to NAV if you have it, and to the amp (presumably for audiopilot) . . .
