Elections are this year, and although it's still a little ways off most people already have their mind set by this point.

If this forum ruled the nation, let's see where we'd be headed...

i've got some issues with Kerry, He keeps going on about bringing jobs to the US and not outsourcing, Yet his wife and his company (Heinz Ketsup) has factories all over the world. They redifine outsourcing.

Secondly, he says he's going to take awaytax breaks for the rich.. Do yall know what he defines as rich because he hasn't defined it yet. CNN and Fox News expect it to be around $40,000/year.

Lastly, he's going to put a hiring freeze on gov't jobs, FBI just got the ok to add 900 agents next year.. They were in a frenzie because they fear Kerry will hault everything when he takes office. WHen the FBI and CIA cant hire the people they need, its the security of the nation that suffers.

And he's the most wishy-washy candidate that I've ever seen, he votes for the war and then says he's against it. Even worse, after he voted for the war, he voted not to give the military money to carry out their mission.

Lastly, I vote for what I do believe in, not what I dont believe in.. meaning that I will vote for someone for the things i believe in and not NOT VOTE for someone because I disagree with a few things

When you say he's got factories all over the world that means he's giving jobs to everyone. He's not closing factories in the us and sending them to India.

What most people don't understand about outsourcing is that it doesn't just affect our jobs it's affecting our economy. With Bush in office unemployment is at an all time high. Tons of jobs are outsourced not only IT based jobs. A company that I know of here in OC, just one of the MANY and it pisses me off!, just outsourced their call center to India. Where they were paying our American workers around 5 dollars a minute to talk about orders etc, now pay 5 cents for the length of the entire call. 5 cents!!! You don't think it's the Execs that are getting rich? Meanwhile our American people continue to suffer just because some upper cheap ass wants to make more money by hurting his American people.

Check our www site - http://www.rescueamericanjobs.com

Personally I think all the Candidates suck ass. I hate Bush and I consider myself a Republican but what's gone on with the war and not to mention his "crew" that are even out to get Howard Stern has pissed me off. The fact that he is in support of outsourcing technical jobs to India angers me beyond belief.

Kerry is in support of giving larger corporations larger tax breaks so that it will compensate for the cost of hiring American people, so they won't have to outsource. It's not their fault that everyone wants to live in the US and price to live is so high. Either way I figured I would put in my 2 cents.

I wanted to vote this year but there are no good candidates this year. I think if I was to vote, I would want to vote Kerry in since it seems like he's the only one out there doing stuff.

he has always been wishy washy. he was a war "hero" and then was one of the leaders of the anti-war movement. stupid. naturally since the biggest thing a president can do that directly affects me is affect the military, i will scrutinize their military involvement and their relationship towards the military.

since bush has been in office, we as the military have gotten significant pay hikes that have put us closer and closer to our civilian counterparts, and closed up the gap on housing pay.

check out this site, which is OBVIOUSLY biased, but yet contains a lot of facts that i was able to verify through searching on google.

and this one, top quote:

http://www.nicedoggie.net/archives/003844.html

now lets talk about that asshole kerry and his association with that b**** jane fonda that should be executed but never was. during a visit to a prison in vietnam the b**** walked down the line of POWs who carried small pieces of paper with their SSN's on them and they tried to hand them to her so she could take it back to the US gov't. instead she told them "werent they sorry they bombed babies" and slapped their hands. she eventually took the papers and then proceeded to instead hand them to the gaurd. 3 pow's died int he beatings.

the full story can be found here:
http://www.snopes.com/military/fonda.asp

her and john kerry were admittedly together in vietnam, and supported (support) one another's views. **** him, AND her.

Click here Picture of John F. Kerry with Jane Fonda at anti-war rally and cover of John F. Kerry's book mocking the US Marines at Iwo Jima, questions for Kerry from Vietnam Veteran; were your purple hearts for fake injuries, CO says Kerry's wound was no worse than a rose thorn scratch, Kerry a war criminal, killed civilians?

have yall read the whole story about his purple hearts.. He was in the hospital a total of 2 days and got like 4.. WTF

OK i know Kerry isn't that great of a candidate, but IMHO he has the potential to be better for our nation than Bush. I don't agree with much of any of Bush's policies, and not just because I sympathize with the left, but it's because I believe that they are misguided and wrong.

I agree, Jane Fonda should rot in hell for what she did, but don't accuse Kerry of something he didn't do. He felt that when he went to Vietnam, it was for nothing. Wouldn't you be pissed off too if Iraq eventually fell back into the hands of the Baathists, or even extremist Muslims, and all your hard work was for nothing? I know I would.

yes but i wouldnt turn against my country. and im not saying he did the same thing as fonda, im just saying, if you had pictures and other things of me hanging out with and sympathizing with saddam hussein, how would that affect your view of me?

Did he go and chill with the VC? Trust me, it was probably Fonda came to the rally and not Kerry came to the rally because of Fonda, and the picture was probably taken out of context.

Im honestly astonished that Kerry has become a leading candidate. One of my mentors spent 6 1/2 years in Vietnam. He says that he has waited for 30 years for one of his Vietnam brothers to be a candidate for president.. And now he is more than ashamed at who that person is..

That sums it up for me..

Matthew... hows ur vacation

it's funny you should mention that because don rumsfeld, during the 80's actually, was very cordial with saddam. this was when we supported iraq during the iraq-iran war. remember, saddam didn't just become a tyrant. he's been a tyrant since he came in power. so i find it funny how now saddam's a thug, but back then, he was our friend. Hmmph. I hope we dont end up with Kerry as the pres. He is certainly not a man of conviction at all. He says whatever you want to hear for the moment. Unfortunately a lot of people are going to be voting for him just because they want to get out of the war.
Keep in mind folks that Bush does have an exit strategy and we are already starting to turn partial control back to the Iraqi citizens.

I dont think that I HAVE to completely agree with the Pres. plan. But I want a president that will stick with his beliefs.. and not waiver to fit what the popular opinion of the week is.. Dennis Miller use to be against bush big time but since has said some things that make a lot of sense

-- On anti-Bush protesters and how well the war went: "What's so touching is the way we fight the war right until the moment our business is taken care of and then we turn on a dime and we immediately start taking care of people. It's like a shock and aw shucks campaign.
"But on the home front the war protesters won't ever give it up to Bush, they just hate Bush and they're never going to give it up to him. First it was the war itself and then the war plan, then the war financing, then the UN, then the second UN, then they started whining about the looting and the museum and where are the weapons of mass destruction. Hey, it couldn't have gone any better, okay. We were killing suicide bombers. You know how fast you're moving when a guy -- the only thing he wants to do in life is kill himself -- and you beat him to it?"

-- On anti-Bush Democrats: "The Democrats continue to snipe at Bush. They'll never give it up to him. You know Teddy Kennedy and Tom Daschle pick more nits than a father and son spider monkey team who know they're being followed by a National Geographic film crew."

-- Picking up on Bill Clinton's comments during his 60 Minutes segments with Bob Dole: "If Clinton had only attacked terrorism as much as he attacks George Bush we wouldn't be in this problem. You know something Bill, if you were any more low rent you'd be a Spring Break destination."

-- Including one U.S. city as a potential military target: "Once we take Damascus, simultaneously we bomb the reactor in North Korea, then you take Tehran, you take Saudi Arabia, you take Berkeley, California." -- On whether finding weapons of mass destruction matters: "Liberals should not overplay this weapons of mass destruction card, because you want me to tell you the truth? Most of us are not going to care if they don't find these weapons of mass destruction. It's enough for a lot of us to see those kids smiling on that street again."

He wasn't elected the first time. Why would he get elected this time? (flame2)

Hey Matthew, you seem like a good guy when not discussing political ideologies so I'll hold off on jumping down your throat...I'll just say I'd much prefer a president who lied about a bj then a president that lied about reasons for going to war.

George W. Bush - I don't like a lot of his choices, but I agree with others. Could be better, could be worse.

John Kerry - I've heard he wants OBD-3 :( and I don't like his history. ******* hippie.

Ralph Nader - ******* hippie asshole. "unsafe at any speed", anyone?

Lyndon Larouche - Sounds like he should me making cars.

His actions have generated more enemies not less. (shrug)

To all those that think we should not be at war with Iraq,

The day my father returned from vietnam he walked past a peace rally. he walked up to a guy holding a sign that said "Stop fighting, Start Talking" He hit he man square in the Jaw. The man fell and got up angry. My dad reminded him of his sign. The guy agreed and began to calm down. So my dad hit him again, this time a little harder. The guy was really mad now and stood up, before he could say anything my dad reminded him of his sign. The guy started to calm down and My dad hit him so hard he was bleeding. The guy stood up and finally realized that you can only talk peace for so long.

This is not a true story and is simply to make a point
