Volkswagen Golf R32

Nice title buddy, aiming for 200whp? Wow, watch out people, he's hunting for Vipers. (hah)

So all SRT's have is superior speed, handling, and fun factor.

Luxury and comfort?? You drive an RSX or something? Cause thats excuses that slow cars have. Example:

Corvette owner: Some ricer RSX tried racing me and I put a couple buslengths on it.
RSX owner: At least I have better interior!!!!
Corvette owner:
relax im not comparing your rental-4 to the MSP. I just said thers more to it then 0-60 times.

i could have bought an srt-4 or an msp...Im glad I got the msp....

I could of bought either but I bought a 201whp V6. Both SRT-4 and MSP are great sport compacts in my opinion.

looks heavy... but R32 power is killer. not liking the chrome front either.

I used to think about getting a VW, but my wife had a new beetle and a couple other guys i know got a jetta and a GTI, they all had MAJOR problems, the Jetta being the worst (lots of oxy sensors, power windows, trunk, door locks, alarm and then cat) beetle next worst (power windows and oxy sensors, starter) gti mostly power problems, diesel.

GTIs are nice, last years was better looking, but I cant bring myself to get any VW or audi. Too many problems and too expensive to fix.

thats hot, but if the new jetta GLI is any indication... that chrome part in front will be painted. the GLI i have seen, for example, was dark (gunmetal) grey and the chrome part was black with a red pinstripe accent... it looked hot!!!

I'd rather deal with power window regulators, door lock, and alarm problems than zoom zoom boom.

If you think the Mazdaspeed Protege handles as well as an SRT-4 than you should read this article .

Check out how far its behind the M3 in the road course and its 1/4 mile time and trap STOCK. (thumb)

(hah)
But take away the car's considerable performance envelope and you're stuck with Neon's cheap plastic trim, front-only power windows, lousy stereo, and total, glorious lack of refinement

Go read every article that compared the MSP and Neon and see how they say that if the MSP had more horsepower that it wouldn't even be a question of what would win the comparison. However, they pick the SRT because it has more power that they would use everyday on on-ramps as opposed to the MSP's handling which was great on a track. (That's almost directly from Motor Trend, but I don't have time to search for the article right now and quote it directly)

Anyway, this is way off topic anyway. Both cars have their good and bad sides. Each person is looking for something different so who really cares.

Hahaha, you know you have a slow car when you have to race interiors. ;)

I'd love to run ya, just to find out. But even if I do lose, I still have a nice, comfortable, interior. While you have a cheap rent-a-car-like neon interior.
Yes the neon, uh SRT has more balls, which almost swayed me to buy, but I cannot live with that interior...to each his own.

On with discussing the R32.
