Voice commands are often not understood

I'd like to know if others have the same problem with using voice commands. Some days my CX-9 does quite well with many of the commands and other days it seems like it cannot understand any of them I say. I would love feedback on how well your vehicle does with them good or bad.

When I tried to say "Enter destination", the NAV came back and said "Now showing Japanese Restaurants". Note - I still need to do that voice training for it, so that may be why.

The only voice training avialable is for Bluetooth if I'm not mistaken, and I have done it twice now to try to improve the situation with no noticable improvement. The Bluetooth phone commands do work better for me btw.

I have no desire to learn Russian, I'd just like some feedback from other people on how their vehicle does with voice commands.

I've had my CX-9 for three years and it has always been terrible so never used it much. I did the voice training also and it's ok with making phone calls but Navigation commands are horrible.

Voice recognition is at its worst when the A/C is blowing hard and road noise interferes.
Not an excuse for Mazda. The voice recognition system is very bad compared to Google Voice
on my cell phone. Therefore, I rarely used the voice recog capability at all.
Button pusher, here, except for the phone calls.

Thanks for the feedback, at least I know it is not just me that has this problem. I noticed too that with the AC blowing on hi that it is even harder for it to recognize what you have requested. I love my CX-9, it handles the road extreamly well, I'm just disappointed in this voice command feature that does not work well at all.

I find the voice recognition lacking as well. It works good for the phone but terrible for the nav. If it does think it understands a command it seems to default to turning on some random POI.
The most unique time was while trying to find the nearest hospital it asked if I wanted to change the language to Spanish.

Glad to know it is not just me that is having problems with nav voice recognition on my 2011 GT. Very frustrating. Has anyone come up with a solution ?

Thanks,

Voice commands work worse than before when making phone calls after the training. It hardly get the numbers right anymore when voice dialing.
