does it look like its sitting correctly?

Have u adjusted your rubber stoppers on the corners yet? .....and i wouldnt call VIS a top quality made hood, so it may not fit like oem.

i got the VIS and it doesn't close all the way. just sticks up like a few MM. its annoying.

keep the hood out of the sun for long periods of time. it WILL turn yellow. also if you have a turbo it might crack above the turbo area

Mine has the same gaps and it doesnt come down all the way because youre suposed to use hood pins! I got used to it tho

ah ok, i just wanted to make sure that i didnt buy a damaged hood. $180 isnt too bad of a deal so i cant really b**** and moan

$180!(shocked) no wonder nobody will buy mines, its 3 weeks old and i paid $500+ for it,yeah dude youll be fine.

You can't expect the hood to fit perfectly by just plopping it on. Every car is slightly different, and if it's had front end work done (be it from an accident, or something else) that adds to it. You can make adjustments to the rubber stops, latch, fenders, and with our hoods we use one bolt size smaller to allow the hood to be moved slightly even at the hinges. Making those adjustments can get you pretty close to perfect.

Even the bolts that hold the fender can be loosened and the holes made Oval so the fenders can be pushed in slightly.

i couldnt stand it... so i did this. and now it fits really good.

i have the gaps on the side too. i had mine installed by a body shop and other than those gaps on the side, it fits really well.

yah im not really bitchin' about it, i just wanted to see what i could do to try and fix it. Thanks for all the info guys. Would someone with hood pins mind taking pictures of where the pins lock into place? I wanna get an idea of what i might have to do if i go that route.....

Dont even remind me! Thats the reason why ive been holding off on a CF hood......im waiting to see if gemini will start making hoods again this summer or in the near future. Theres were the only ones id purchase.....

wow, i think i figured out why i got this hood for $180......it rattles like no other! I havent noticed it until now because i play my damn music so loud lol. does anyone know what i can do to help limit this rattle? any kinda rubber stoppers or whatnot that i can add under the hood to help keep it from moving around, or is this what the hood pins are for?

odd, i havent had any problems with my hood rattling. i ahve a feeling hood pins would probably help with that problem. i dont know for sure though.
