it came with a nice cover that goes on the underside to cover the holes, but its not waterproof.
i took it off so i can paint the mesh silver.

I completely agree. Yeah its carbon fiber light weight, but who wants two-tone. I painted my APC carbon fiber, it came out great.
But it did require tons and tons of sanding. Carbon fiber hides a lot of imperfections, but if you get a good painter it will look perfect. Check out my painted APC hood. search "pics of jsahyoun's MP3"

i been waiting for a good day to take pics.it is on though!!
i got brand new wheels coming wednesday, and was hoping to have both on there before i posted but the peer pressure is killing me.
and those holes on the side, they are holes but have no idea why? but still very satisfied with it.

bman, does the hole actually act as a hole? for air to go in?

the holes are there, but no hole going through to the under side of hood.
so the air from those two side vents comes out around the middle vent area(under) or around the 2 holes where your where you put in our take out the squirters.
you could cut the under side and make it some what functional?
