VIS carbon fiber EVO hood now available

That's right, my local shop that I ordered the WW hood from called me today and told me to come check out the VIS EVO hood that they had for a prelude. I told him that supposedly VIS only made the OEM hood for the 01-03 protege's, so he called VIS and they are indeed EVO and they are in stock and ready to ship!!!

edit: I just got a call from WW and they were very sorry about the delays. They recieved 4 hoods this evening, and they told me they would hook me up with one of them.

I was very impressed with the VIS hoods, but the last thing I need is another delay with another company, and start this long journey over again. I really look forward to finally getting my WW, but to those of you who are looking for an EVO hood, you have another option now.

I'll post pics of my car as soon as it arrives, but if you want a peek, go to the VIS website and check out the EVO hood on another car. It is exactly the same style as their other EVO hoods, with small ducts on both sides of the vents.

All I want to know is if I can find an Evo style hood, but get it painted to the same color as my car as opposed to the carbon fiber black hood. Anyone know?

I think the CF EVO hood will be awesome on the black mica. On any other color though, besides the titanium, I think it makes the car look unfinished. I agree that painting the hood to match the rest of the car, or even better, doing it like hawianmsp's car is the way to go with any other color. On the black, I think it will blend in perfectly.

Vis hoods are pretty sweet, i bought one for my Z24 and love it. Im gonna get one for the 5, i hope i can see a pic of the protege EVO hood.
