Ooo!! I need to talk with you. Right now I'm majoring in engineering, but I'm considering switching architecture. Have you gotten a place yet? and what part of DC?

Nate, you'll probably want to stay out of downtown then. Between rent and parking permits, you'll be better served by staying outside of DC and commuting via the Metro system.

MD housing on the NE and NW corners of DC are traditionally cheaper than the SW side (Virginia). Rockville/Bethseda area is quite nice and I've had no complaints with the Brookland/College Park area (where I live).

I was looking into that, but the metro is expensive! From the Vienna/Fairfax Station to Farragut West would be like $10 a day to commute ($3 park, $3.20 each way). That's about $200/month for just work days.

The meet should be set for the middle of september. Most peeps around this area are going to hot imports nights on the 6th because its in baltimore. I don't know if I can miss that when its so close this year.

you can get a weekly metro pass for like $20 that lets you ride all week, IIRC

same for parking, you can get some kind of permit at a discount cost compared to paying full price everytime you go park.

it still beats driving your Pro downtown and face $10-15 parking everyday, not to mention gas money

I live just outside of the city in Arlington. I would never think of driving my 5 into the city and paying like $15 to park.. I take the metro from Ballston to Farragut West and it only costs like $3 a day. Metro isn't that expensive considering the fact that you don't have to drive and deal with the craziness of the city traffic.. and it is very reliable.

Never been to an HIN, but based on the name would it not be at night? Come to the VA meet at 11 am or whenever it is, then cruise up after. Of course I could be wrong about the whole "nights" thing.

What? What's this? VA coming up to MD for HIN? (yes, I speak acronym ) I think that is a splendid idea! We should all do that. We could meet at Arundel or Columbia mall, actually, Arundel is easier to find off of 95 than Columbia. I think it'd be sweet to all caravan up there. What time does it start on Saturday, Tara?

Hey I Started this idea. LoL. I think it starts at 5pm but there's going to be people hanging outside near the baltimore conven. Center all day long. They'll be a rack of meets going on. People from all over the east coast.
