Just wanted to see if any of you new "Track Junkies" are interested in running @ VIR in October or November? VIR is a 3.56 mile track with a lot of fun elements, like the roller coaster, oak tree, the climbing esses, hog pen and more! If you are interested in going to either event, please add your name to the list. If we get enough members, we'll look into getting a block of rooms.

1. Marlon
2. Lauri
3. Will
4. Evan #1
5. Evan #2
6. Marc
7. Anthony
8. Patrick

Possible for me. My cousin in Virginia has a GTO that hes taken on track a few times. I've been wanting to go to an event with him. If he is available and gets his car sorted by then I will try to make it.

I'm definitely interested. Gotta start saving up now. I'll need new tires by then. The climbing esses are probably my favorite part of the track. The first few times you go through there, it's scary as hell! Once you get the hang of it, it's soooo much fun hauling ass through there haha!

Marlon, I think you got your Evan's mixed up. Fortunately for you, we're both interested in going. ;)

Patrick is interested too.

I'm interested the new car should be done by then hopefully.....

Well stop letting us use your lift every weekend and put us to work on YOUR car and you'll have her running by then. :)

Marlon, any more info on these events? Dates, who is hosting them, price, registration, etc?

I would love to ,but I don't have a set plan. I just am running off my list and trying to get stuff done. I should have have my ducting and brackets for the rad and oil cooler done and my fuel cell bracket done by this weekend.

Anyone know of a cheap way to rent a car trailer and tow vehicle? Or anyone have a trailer with room for a 2nd car? lol Considering VIR is about 1000 miles round-trip, I've been thinking about this lately. It would be great peace of mind knowing that if something happens to my car while racing at VIR, I can still get it home.

I know I can rent a truck and trailer from places like UHaul, but that would probably cost a fortune.

This is the first I've seen of this thread. I'm interested but it'd have to be November. NNJR PCA (Northern New Jersey Region Porsche Club of America) is doing an event the first weekend in November on the full course.

U-Haul is going to be just as cheap as anywhere else. You can look into a place like Enterprise Commercial, Penske, or any of the other companies that rent commercial trucks. The kicker with that option is they typically require you to list what business you are affiliated with.

Which course, thunder or lightning?

We are talking about VIR right?

NNJR not NJMP. :)

Thunder and lightning are the two courses that make up New Jersey Motorsports Park for those of you who are wondering what the hell is going on! :)

My bad, I misread the track!

No worries! NJMP in November would be a bit too cold for me. :)

Heck, when I was at VIR a couple years ago it was colder than normal. In the morning it was 32 degrees, and they delayed the start one day due to frost haha.
