Vibration Problems ES 2.0

Hey I was wondering I have posted this before but I was wondering if anyone else is exspierencing Vibrations in the steering wheel on the ES 2.0 model. My dealership seem to say it's Suposse to be that way...so help me out here and post that your steering wheel doens't have the slightest bit of vibratrion in it. Thank you ;)

there shouldn,t be any vibration in the steering wheel ,I have a 2.0 lx and have none . some things to check front tire air pressure ,make sure the pressure is the same in both tires .You could have thoughen a wheel weight . Your alignment maybe out slightly ,mine was . Worst case is your have a bent rim or the run out on the rim is to much.

Lol, I always like it when dealers say things that you have a problem with are "supposed" to be that way. My guess would be front end alignment might be out of wack slightly....have you hit any curbs or been in any fender benders?

Just out of curisoity, how many miles have you got on the car.
You may just need to rotate the tires....the low pro. tires we have and the way the alignment is set up means we need to do it about every 7k-7500 miles. BTW mine does have a slight and I do mean very slight vib. at around 60-62 mph. I just noticed it about last week. If I'm below it its fine if I'm above it it's fine. I'm just about due for the next tire rotation so I'm gonna try that first.

I am sorry I should have been more specific, My car vibrates at a stand still, it used to be only when my foot was on the brake but noww it does it in idle when ti's in park. I haven't been in any fender benders no accidents and have never hit a curb. I have a bent rimon the back tire that has nothing to do with my car being in idle and still vibrating. The dealer ship is the one who put the dent in my rim. My steering wheel does not just vibrate lightly either you can actually see the steering wheel vibrating it has gotten to the point that I would love to drive my in the nearest tree or off the nearest cliff. My dealer ship has totally messed up my car, and I really don't apperciate it. My car was vandalized the windows were smashed out, and well I had to get them replaced at the collision center at Gunther mazda and well of course inssurance screws you out of everything and said I needed new front and rear dash boards so they replaced them and that's when I started to have the problems, and that's also when I got the damn dented rim and now I have to pay 260.00 plus tax to fix the rim. :( So I really dislike my car as of now. But anyone have anyclues as to why it would be vibrating at a stand still I use to think Rotors but it's not only when my foots on the brake it also does it in park.

ACk !

She posted that after I clicked reply..

Being that your car is an automatic, and the car is vibrating at idle.. you may want to check the ignition setup (plugs, etc.) for something that would cause your car to idle lower than normal. This would cause your car to vibrate, and can be fixed fairly easily usually.

As far as Gunther goes, I bought my car from them and I've gotten a few parts from there but never had them service it. Maybe now I'll know better, lol. ;)

Thank you Very much, Do you mind if I print this out and bring it to Gunther telling them to check my plugs, and ignition and stuff. Cause I am really upset by the fact they tell me it's suposse to do that lol. Oh yea their service use to be good till my car I have gotten atleast 7 cars from them in the past 10 years. Between me and my family. Well thank you again.

You could have a damaged p/s pressure hose as well. If it vibrates that bad and it's doing it at idle with the car not moving and the idle is around 600-700 rpms in park, then I'd say that was probably the culprit. Sorry about the tire rotation thing, I didn't know the problem existed at idle. If the idle is below 600 rpms in park then it's engine related and the previous post goes into that.

check your vaccum line in the engine bay. my car vibrates, always had since my brother bought it. even with platnium plugs, it didn't go away. look at your rpm's when it shakes, they should be fluctuating when it acts up. go to the dealer and b****.

Did you ever figure out what caused the Vibrationd on your Car ? I'm having the same problem with a 2000 DX Protege. I realize this post is old but any info would be appreciated. Thanks !
