Vibration/grinding in front end

2007 mazda cx7 75k

Goes away when turning in one direction. The faster I go the louder it gets. This is my wife's car and she is afraid it's unsafe. I was told possible wheel bearings or engine mount issue. Any info on this. Please and thank you in advance.

I've jacked up front of vehicle and neither one of the wheels have any play whatsoever.

Most likely a wheel bearing. Modern wheel bearings will start making noise long before they exhibit any free play. Usual symptom is gets louder turning steering wheel one direction and gets softer turning the other.

And that's exactly why it does. Noise is non existent turning left and Luis as can be turning to the right.
