Vibrant Turbo Back

My car currently has the prototype turbo-back that Vibrant is going to be selling.
I'm evaluating it for fit, noise, etc before they produce it.
I did make a dynorun, and yes, there are some BIG gains.
I wont post my graph yet, because this is a prototype and will have some minor changes before it hits production. But it was about 15hp and 20tq. Otherwise stock car.

You guys should be able to buy it in a few months.
Don't ask me for the price, I dont know. I guess the cat-back will be in line with other cat-backs they sell. Dont know how much for the downpipe.

My thoughts:
Sound:
AWESOME. I totally LOVE driving through tunnels etc now. It's unreal.
The car absolutely HAULS too. Very smooth from low revs to redline. With the stock exhaust I would feel a "kick" when the power surged, it no longer does this. I compared the stock dyno run to the new run, and it explains this, again, very smooth power onset.
Boost:
Spools a LOT faster. My boost gauge is no longer slow.
Quality:
Considering this is a prototype that was built to evaluate fit and sound, and not looks, I'm very impressed. I can't wait to see the final version.

I'll be taking notes for the next two weeks before they repo the exhaust and make me the final version.

EDIT:
Size:
2.5" downpipe to 2.5" cat (3" downpipe contacts various things in the engine bay, and nobody likes noises when there shouldn't be noises). Then a 3" catback. The 3" catback will be available separatly, and will bolt to the factory downpipe and dual-cat system.

I know that you just testing the prototype out, but is the production version of this turbo back exhaust going to have a high flow cats for us people who have to pass emisions testing.

The production version will be just like mine, except the fit and finish will be better.
I plan on going to the local government emissions centre "just to see".
It has one hi-flow, 2.5" cat.

I think most of their cat-backs sell for $699CAD (I think that's around $400US???), I assume the cat-back portion of this will be the same.
I don't know what the downpipe+cat section will be though.

Aaron,
I've got approx. 200km on the exhaust so far, no CEL.
I will be driving another 500ish km this weekend. I will update if I get a CEL, which I doubt I will.

does it come in 3"? yes I MUST have 3". i'm hellbent on a 3" no 2.75 for me. i don't care if i don't need it! i like overkill!!!

there will be no CEL with one cat as long as that cat is capable of performing equivalent duty as the two cats were. The second o2 sensor is only looking for a difference from the first. They do make o2 simulaters, I had one on my Dak R/T. Apexr1 makes a simm.

welcome to the forum! i assume within a few weeks, more info will be posted as the first few production systems are completed :)

Doesn't matter too much, but I wanted to point something out. The stock setup places the o2 sensor between the 2 cats. The computer is really only "seeing" the first cat. So actually, it's unlikely you will get a CEL if the hi-flow is performing the same as the first stock cat, not both of them combined.;)

There have been some scheduling conflicts between me and Vibrant. I've been unable to get back to the prototyping shop for them to make the necessary changes before this part can go into production.
In the meantime I've been using it and enjoying it!
It will be sold as a complete turbo-back system, there will be no cat-back or downpipe only option.
