Vibrant or Mazdaspeed

Hey guys! What do you think would be a better choice as far as exhausts go. Vibrant, Mazdaspeed, or another brand. I have checked search but would like more of a black and white answer. Thanks in advance guys! I trust all your opinions and respect the vast knowledge people bring to this forum.

2007 Mazda3 2.3 sedan.

I can tell you that I'm happy with my MSpeed exhaust.. cat back setup if you're wondering, that's how they come. If you're looking for a good tone, then this has it. I'm not sure about vibrant, but I've heard good things about them too. There are a few others; but I don't have any opinions of them. If you're after the warranty stuff, Mazda gives you a 12 month warranty on their CBE. Not sure about the other companies, although I'm sure it's the same...maybe?

It all comes down to your personal preference, and what you're after in the modding department. If you want to keep it "mazda" for the most part, go with the speed brand. If that doesn't matter, go with either one. They'll both offer the similar performance and different tone over stock. But its until you delete a cat or go with a hi-flow cat is where you should notice any bigger gains. Hope this kinda helps. Anyone else want to chime in?

Custom 5 inch catback :D You'll probably like the vibrant a little more than mazdaspeed as far as sound goes. Mazdaspeed tends to keep their exhausts quiet. they sound good jsut really quiet which means its a bit more restrictive. But that doesnt really matter matter for non turbo applications. So Just depends what kind of sound and performance you want.

I heart that movie, The first time i watched it i was crying laughing its SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO funny!!

I'd go with the Vibrant. I had the J-pipe back system on my MSP an the sound was a nice deep growl, nothing ricey at all.

There is about $150.00 difference in price going with Vibrant over Mazdaspeed but I don't mind paying extra for the Vibrant if it is a better choice. Getting as much preformance as possible is also a reason I'm changing the exhaust. Not just the sound.

Well, the performance gains in just replacing the cat back portion of the exhaust system are minimal.

I believe both will give the same HP gains but the vibrant will be more aggressive sounding.

Magnaflow

I just got off the phone and got a good price quote on a Magnaflow. What are your guys impressions of the Magnaflow product? Thanks.

The Vibrant exhaust at ProtegeGarage is a downpipe-back exhaust (with a high flow cat I imagine). At ProtegeGarage the Vibrant is only $60 more ($650 instead of $590). If I was picking between the 2 I'd go with the Vibrant. $60 for a high flow cat seems like a good deal.

[edit]Oh dangit; wrong car... thanks silverspeed03[/edit]
