Vibrant Exhaust CEL Help

i need help. I recently hooked up my Vibrant Exhaust. Running great and i love the system, i noticed two plugs for the 02 sensor, i used the one before the cat because it was the only one i could reach with the plug and sealed the other one. exhaust ran great for 4 days and is still running great. but now 4 days later i have a CEL. could this be because of me using the one before the cat or would this happen anyways. or shouldnt it happen. it concerns me because i dont know if the CEL is from the exhaust since it went 4 days without having the CEL???

when i installed my vibrant, i plugged the first hole, extended the o2 sensor and put it in the second hole.

yeah i didnt want to extend the sensor and i figured they were both the same sensor plug so i tested and everything and i had no problems. so i sealed the other one, welded it cause the bolt on my old one was not comin off (i broke a vise grip trying) and i figured i wouldnt ever need it since the other one seemed to work fine

Yeah i did the same.. i extended the o2 and plugged up the first hole.. jdmsam mentioned that you can unplug the o2 wire and re-route it so that you don't have to cut the wire..

i dont think welding that o2 sensor bung was a good idea. if you want everything to run right you shoulda extended the wiring. it wasnt that much of a hassle. i had my first hole plugged for awhile but now im using it for a wideband. but yea the cel is probably caused by the location of your o2 sensor which is supposed to be behind the cat.

Sam rerouted the wires so he didn't have to extend them if I remember right. You could do the non-fouler trick like I did and not have to worry about extending the wires.

yeah i just did that. and so for no CEL but we'll see tomorrow when i actually drive some more because it took a while for the CEL to show up

If you don't put the 2nd o2 sensor after the cat you'll throw a CEL... now that you have the extension you should be fine.
