Very Important Mp3 Owners Read?

Hey guys I really need your help here, there is a long story about this situation which I dont want to bore you to much so I will get to the point,

On your mp3 does your steering wheel line up perfectly center when driving straight or does it look like its turned slightly to the right even when driving perfectly straight?

Second if you look at your front end of car does the passenger front wheel look like it sticks out a tad farther then the drivers front wheel? Mine is like even with the fender almost of pass. side but tucked under the fendor on the drivers side?

Plus I just had a 4 wheel alignment done friday and it still pulls to the right slightly as well.

Now I had an accident and hit a curb on my pass. front rim and needed all new parts for that front side of vehicle and want to know if it was done right or if parts are not correct or wasnt installed properly? They are saying its normal at my dealer and I am pissed about this so any help would be great, I will post pics if that would help???????

Well, I'm not sure about the front wheel thing... have to check on that, but I do know my steering wheel has always been that same way... going straight the steering wheel looks as if it is slightly turned to the right. Wierd!!

sounds like they screwed up to me.

my steering wheel sits PERFECTLY straight, and my wheels appear to be even on both sides, also, mine never pulls to either direction, except for "torque steer"

Well my car is pulling to the right a bit right now and so the steering wheel is kinda set to the right but I don't think it was ever sitting to the right while going straight before. I had a grand am before and had an accident where the left front wheel, suspension, and steering parts were all replaced. The steering wheel never sat back straight either so I just think It's the accident jars or bends something in the column or something. I don't think there's anything you can do about it.

My steering Wheel is straight, and my front wheels are the same.

Anything can happen as a result of an accident and getting repairs done. I don't care what anyone says, if your car was damaged, it'll never be the same again and there's not much you can do about. It's very rare to have repairs done back to factory quality. Although, that being said, if it's just straight part swapping, it should be ok.

That thing about your wheel sticking out further sounds strange. I'd get another opinion on that.

mine is fine, although the wheel will pull to the right and left when im slowing down due to the fact that the road is un even.

I do alignments and it sounds like you have a bent spindle on the passenger side. either that or a bent control arm but those are fairly easy to spot. The spindles usually bend downwards slightly if you curb it hard. This causes the top of the wheel to tip outwards more and the alignment will NOT be able to correct for the positive camber you gained. Also, the cross caster will be totally screwed so the handling will be weird when cornering.

As far as the wheel being straight, that can be adjusted out with the toe adjustments. If the wheels are both pointing forward correctly, the steering wheel is centered and nothing is bent, then the wheel should stay straight up and down on a level surface. If the car has bent parts it ends up pulling to one side and you usually have to turn the wheel to correct it. I've also seen a lot of alignments where the steering wheel was never centered properly so the wheel wasn't level with the wheels straight. I have to align BMW's and Volvo's both of which have pretty picky customers. They cry if the wheel isn't perfectly level.

my steering wheel lines up perfect, but my car has pulled pretty hard to the right since i got it. Most say due to the roads, but mine pulled hard on any road. When i switched dealers they realigned my tires and now it had been fine since. (slight pull in either direction) I was also told b4 by NTB that my Mp3 was set to ES specs. from my previous dealer.

I will check on the fender/wheel thing when i go outside.

Mine started pulling to the right @ about 15000 miles, I had the allignment checked and it was way off, I have never hit anything. After the allignment all seems to be well.
I can feel your pain --- a little.
