Capriotti's is a local Sandwich shop that has locations all ver the valley. If you've ever been to Delaware, you may have heard of them, they're huge there.

If you want to do some research and see what locals recommend, go to www.yelp.com then choose Las Vegas as the city. One of the local favorites is a Japanese Izakaya Tavern called Ichiza if Japanese is your thing.

I'm pretty sure it's a standalone place. It has a big sign outside. It might not be right on the strip, but it's close by. I think it might be this one:
