I took the Speed3 to the dealership today for the 25K service. I asked them to see if they could fix the valve noise I have on startup. Luckily for me, they fixed the problem by replacing the VVT Actuator as specified in this bulletin:

My question is: Beside the noise, what does a faulty VVT Actuator suppose to do / or not do? Should I feel a performance gain of some sort with this fix or was it just that the pin was engaged, but not fully engaged?
