Vanity Plates

Here's mine:

YOU CAN ALSO try Sickk 7

anyone saying "save your money" should try being as thrifty with their bandwidth as they apparently are with their money (dont bother posting).

The cost of a vanity plate for someone who wants to get one and who just bought a brand new SUV, is no more an unreasonable financial burden than the 4kb of data required for you to post "save your money" is consuming an unreasonable amount of bandwidth on your internet connection.

and to reply to the OP....how about CX-7

Slug, I agree that showtege's posting is very crass and is in poor taste however, how is is consuming a mere 4k of space and bandwidth for posting an email, pose an "unreasonable financial burden"? To whom, is this a financial burden?

Showtege is certainly entitled to his opinion. The amount of time and effort to compose and enter that opinion into these editing screens is his business. What's happening however, is that you took umbrage to his comments. You're a mod, with considerable authority over what transpires in these forums and you didn't like his comments. So your comments about his use of bandwidth and disk space, misses the point.

I always thought about doing

MSP 928

but i dunno its kinda gay. Still havent decided.

I doubt that license plates have any sexual preference at all.

Personally I think if you have a numbered, limited edition vehicle and you know it's number, that would make a good vanity plate.

Boosted03MSP, I'm trying to figure out what is so gay about MSP 928? Care to explain?

Ouch, that hurts! $1600 ??

Here in Virginia, vanity plates are part of registration and that's only $35 a year. So, if I held onto my CX-7 for 10 years, that's only a $350 investment. And they can be transferred. In my case, though, transferring wouldn't be a good idea. (cool)

Here in Estonia there are also cheaper versions of vanity plates, if you follow the uniform format of 3 numbers + 3 letters (example -123 ABC)

So the plate "928 MSP" or "760 BMW" would cost you something like $400

Wow...be nice guys...who cares what people spend their money on. Here we just have to have a certain amount of letters and a number and it's just what the regular plate costs...so it's free. Mine is ZACZNE 1....in honor of my Autistic son...."You are in the Zack Zone"...corny, but I don't care!

Draw more attention to yourself using the gayish plates. I would not speed if I where you it would make it too easy to call the cops on your ass.

I've called the cops a couple times on drivers who were either drunk or very reckless. They were passing on the shoulder, weaving in and out of traffic, unable to stay between the lines......

And the cops never came. So I don't think that should be a factor. In all of those cases I was able to read off the regular plate just fine anyway.

Yeah but you know what I am talking about random characters are more difficult then a name on a plate.

Yes that's true. As someone mentioned you probably have more to fear from the crazy road ragers than the cops with a vanity plate.

Why be scared of someone who might not exist. My vanity plate makes me smile and further customizes the car to be yours. Why be PDD 10S when for $50 you could have an eyesore be a centerpiece?
