Well, here it is, 24 hours later, finished, put back on, and driven around (to make sure it didn't bubble). You decide how it came out. I haven't seen any pictures except the one person that has an engine cover, and that must've been cake to paint compared to this PITA, so I have nothing to compare it to. Sorry for the file size, but I figure the bigger the better. Thanks for taking the time to check this post out. All your comments are appreciated!

Here is the beginning, with the first few undercoats.

Next, since the picture didn't come out, here we jump to the blue with the red letters (still off the car).

Ok, now here it is, part of the way back in, but without everything connected...

Here is the way the engine compartment looked before...

Here it is, after, final product...

And, one last one, up close...

thanks so much guys! my friend did his valve cover black on his civic, it looks real nice...youll have an easier job too, because with mine, i had to put a hi-temp gray down, then blue (not hi-temp), then hi-temp clearcoat...all youll have to do is put down a hi-temp black and then hi-temp clearcoat...what color is your car?

Nice profesional looking job. It looka like you took your time and did it right... If I decied to do mine I will probly have it powdercoated....

give it a second, im currently updating my angelfire account to accept more bandwith, evidently, people are looking at a lot of my s***

EDIT: s*** the pics will be up in two hours, PLEASE check back later or tommorrow, i would really appreciate it

razor, tell us how you did the lettering please., btw, it came out better than i expected.

lol there already is a how-to :-) i didnt even see it until i was done...what i did, was once i finished with the blue coats, i painted over the blue with red touch up paint - yuch, brush marks, and splotchy areas! so i lightly sanded down the red paint until the paint was pretty smooth and even, and the brush marks disappeared, and then put a clear coat over it...although the red looked a bit dull after sanding, it became bright again with the clear coat...

im really tempted to do my headlights with the leftover blue, but im kinda being a puss and afraid ill mess them up
