So when im driving my MSP and the RPMS drop quickly, the rpms drop to 0 and the car will die. I feel this is a vac problem? I know that my valve cover gasket is leaking oil? could this be the problem.? could someone send me a pic of a valve cover gasket and where it is at just to make sure im talking about the right thing.

THANKS

the valve cover gasket sits between the head and the VC....you shouldn't see anything.....if oil is leaking between the vc and the head try tightning the bolts that hold down the vc and clean it real good.....if it continues to leak then replace it....

to see what it looks like goto autozone's website and seach for the gasket, they have a pic of it

ok but if this is leaky even a slight leak this would me there is a vaccumm leak right? and this might be the cause of my problem?

mine leaked for a good long time, i don't have a turbo, but i never had a vac leak.....it just made the head oilly......it's easy to replace....you just pull of the vc, clean it up real good, clean the crap of the head where the gasket sits.....apply a light coat of clean new oil to the gasket and reinstall.....

i know when i changesd mine half the bolts were loose so ya might just need to tighten them down a lil

No, the valve cover is almost completely unrelated to manifold pressure. Think of it as two separate chambers of the engine that don't connect.
