VA Checklist

I'm from MD, but my best friend lives in Centreville, VA. He finally bit the bullet and bought a townhouse there instead of renting. The cost of living is rediculous in NOVA.

TRUST me.. I Know ALL about how expensive it is here.. i'm in Arlington and pay way to much for rent!

Yeah, plus in VA you have to get you liquor from an ABC store, get your car inspected all the time, pay property taxes on your car, and if you live in NOVA you have to sit in traffic for hours on end during the work week...lol.

but I'm also very close to A LOT of cool shopping!!

LOL I should have known you'd say that ;)

But the cost of living is crazy here. sold a townhouse about 4yrs ago for a insane amount. House we bought in Fredricksburg would have been worth about 5 times as much here. Crazy.

Wow, sign me up for that... too bad I can't find a T.H. down here in the N.Va area for that

That's more of the condo's range (1 bedroom at that! :( )

One thing that cracks me up in NOVA is the cost of apartments. A 1-2bedroom can be between 1100-1400. Now the real kicker is some places have salary caps. Meaning you can not make more than 40k combined total income!! 40k!!! Geez think about it if two people combined are only making 40k, how can you afford the apartment plus car+food+insurance and other bills. Blah.

Me and my MP3 residing in Richmond currently :D

I did see a spicy orange Mazdaspeed travelling the opposite direction of me the other day too... Or I could almost swear it was, I was late to a meet so I was flying.

That is because I was "switching the cd" :D
