using the wrong gas...

so my brother comes from RI, and is fascinated about my car...he drove it all day while he was in town....he decides that while i was taking a leak at a gastation, to fill up my gas tank.
i guess everything i told him the same morning didn't sink in..you know..the: it needs premium gas, and turbos work this way..blah blah...
so he used 87 octane!

i was like WTF?!?!?!!?
dude, ima kill you!


anyways, a very slow ride to the autoparts to get octane booster.
i actually used TWO bottles of STP octane booster.

how good is this?

i did notice that when i got home after the gas fiasco the exhaust reeked of Fuel. anyways,

any input greately appreciated.

One thing you shouldn't do is go into boost. it shouldn't do any damage to your car, but if you get into boost, you may get some knocking or detonation earlier because of the lower octane.

That's ****** up Alejo, if my brother does that to my little baby, i'll fill him with 87 Octane gas up the *ss.. just don't race your car or step on it hard, just drive it very very normal until your gas is wasted...... been there done that.

You don't have a family member's car that you can siphon the 87 octane into? A mom that drives a Camry or something? Siphon the 87 from your car into a regular-fuel car, then make your brother pay to fill up your MSP with 93 octane.

Go to the hardware/paint store and get a quart of toluene ( preferably ) or xylene and empty it in to your gas tank.

It is a paint thinner that will bring up the octane.

Alejo, i figured out how you fix this 87 octane problem....

add 3 parts H20 to it. ya know, dilute the 87 octane a little. That will solve all your problems. muwhahahahaahahahahahahaah

For everyone else, do NOT add water to your gas tanks.
