Used Turbo Kit on ebay?!

Yeah man thats tight i'd jump all over that if I had the money to. bye the way I got my rotors back on today and my car drives 100% better I still have a little shimmy at higher speeds maybe my wheel bearings are bad too. Bye the way did you ever get yours fixed . Or maybe my wheels are offbalance since i repainted them.

Nah, haven't gotten my rotors fixed. Not really too concerned with it, especially after the abuse my car went through at midnight madness lol. You ready for street battle? I can't freakin' wait, I'm in a whirlwind of madness trying to find someone to get the header installed before this coming weekend, but cash is so tight right now that I have to just hold out for the freebie favors. Been pressuring my dad, but who knows how that'll work out.

The kit looks pretty good though, I wish I had the cash for it. It's got everything, just wish my warranty was up and I hit the powerball or something.

Found this while doing my daily browse through the ebay products. Seems to be in decent condition, don't know how many people are going to jump on this, but hey, if you've got the money I'd hop on this quick.
308hp Gracie? 316lb.ft.torque? That sounds a bit optimistic, don't ya' think? If those numbers are anywhere close to accurate I'd be afraid of that thing.
'Think he blew the engine and dumped the car?
West Jordan, UT? Isn't that where "Gambino" was/is from?

looks like it is in pretty decent shape i asked the guy why he was sellin he said his car didnt run well with it

From the pics listed, it looks like he had it in a 3.
What do you turbo knowledgable guys think? Too much fuel (injectors too big?) Too much air (volume?) The long tubing to and from the FMIC? ECM?
'Venture a guess?

pretty standard problems w/ the protege is that the ECu can't handle too much. fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, ems, injectors,...people don't diagnose so much.

It must be from the shop gambino decided not to go with. His car never got boosted, but he was going to market one for a company here. Then MAM was going to do one, and then he sold the car...

Also no mention of ANY engine management. The company here was trying to get a microtech to tune it, but to my knowledge they never did. So i don't know what they ended up using, if anything. I didn't think that they even got the car running, so if it is the same people the dyno could be BS

In others words, it could be almost anything. But as Jeph says, no engine management..... (ughdance)

it says in the descritpion it comes with a microtech for fuel management... everything looks good to me.. just a bit bigger turbo then i would want on a stock engine...

ahh didn't read the description. I'll talk to phil and see if they actually got it running with the microtech, better yet, ask steve at NSN if he supplied them with the microtech or not. He was the one trying to get it for them.

+1. And may I add, stock transmission, stock axles, stock suspension, stock brakes, stock wheels/tires.
You'd have to be doing an all out serious build to warrant this turbo I would think. I'm not that knowledgable about turbos in general, but to support 300+/300+ it would take a little more than a little from the rest of the car.

yeah i figured it was either the mam kit (though the manifold isn't up to the pretty standards of beau) or the one from the "other" company... not sure what the reserve is but it could be a good deal cause it is already set up with a t3 flange and an external wg with a bov and all good products...

more tranny then anything else...only heard of one guy bustin an axle and was pretty sure it was more related to abuse then actual tq... or it is a t3 flange you could just buy the kit sell the precision turbo and buy a 28r (i think thats a t3 not a t25?) or something along those lines...

a t2 flange is different than a t3 flange so you couldn't swap that turbo very easily. MAM was going to do a T3/T4 i believe but phil sold his car before all the fabbing was done

lol thats what i was sayin but the t3 flange has other options then just that turbo... there are some smaller options not a lot and some might be a journal bearing instead of a ball bearing (gt) but they are out there
