Well for the MS3 one article states that Mazda heat treated the axles to better take the 250lb.ft. torque, which is a far cry from 300+. And while no one has said anything about the CV joints that I've seen, I would hope that they are also beefier than the standard 3's too.
And Jeph, I just happened to see an adapter on eBay for the t2 to t3 turbos. I don't know any more about it than the picture which showed a flange on each side with a short box section in the middle.
