Can anyone tell me where can I find used exhaust system for 2003 Protege5? I don't want to spend over $300 exhaust system when my car is nearly 10 year old. especially I am looking for 2001-2003 Mazda Protege 5 Cat Back Exhaust NA-Series : Megan Racing. I reviewed the exhaust sound on youtube, I think it is a good buy. If I can find it used with a right price that would be great! Thanks.

If you want used, make a WTB thread in the correct section, look on ebay or go to a junk yard. Only real way to get it used. Buying a new one will only set you back, cheapest being, $135.00 free shipping from ebay if your that much in a crunch.

I found a web site for performance parts that "http://www.meganoutlet.com/" the price is very cheap compare with other website. But, I am affair the site is not real. The Items listed on the site is about 30-40% cheaper than other site. So, I tried to contact the sale adviser to confirm some information, but no body got back to me or answer my call. Did any one know if the site is real? If it is a good site, then I think this is the cheapest site for performance part out-there... it is cheaper than e-bay...

Just pick up a universal muffler ($70-$125) and get a local exhaust shop to weld you up a 2.25" mild steel system. $250 or less.

crush bent systems on a 130hp car are more than sufficient. Anyone who tells you otherwise has no idea what they are talking about.

another trick/hint= take your secondary cat "midpipe" to local exhaust shop and have them make you a 2.25" straight-pipe with flanges on either end. It'll bolt right up and can be removed and replaced with the stock midpipe whenever emissions roll around.

By law a shop can not remove a catalytic converter (some will by pass the law), but by you removing it prior and bringing it in to the shop they can then legally make you a straight pipe and install or just hand to you for personal installation. ($50-$75)

If you search for the "official exhaust thread" or "eBay exhaust", don't remember which, I put a video up on YouTube, which another member posted here of me cycling thru the gears with the eBay exhaust. $135, free shipping, and all stainless. Bolted up with next to no problems.
