upping boost.

has anybody ventured to up the boost in a cx7 yet? i am very tempted cuz the rdx take off like a rocket in comparison. i aint havin that.

I'm in the works on custom fitting a front mount intercooler and i have a boost contoller that i will be installing as well. so far i have the custom intake and greddy RS bov installed i will have all of this completed shortly and i will let you know the differance. I'm also custom fitting a Magniflow turbo back exahsut and upgrading the turbo and oil lines should be getting some nice power then I will post progress pics and power gains soon

I waiting for DG Motorsports about makeing a CF hood for our CX-7's Like they made for there concept car at SEMA, U know what I mean.

Im putting the gauge near the pillar on the driver side till the radio bezel comes out then i will be mounting the rest of my gauges in the second din slot

Upping boost won't gain you much. Have you seen this:

Looks like all the power will come from a proper tune. Someone needs to crack this.(shocked)

Whats up everyone,

Some people wanted me to start a thread for my project for my cx-7. for some reason I'm haveing problems posting a threat so I'm posting it here for now. I have plans on seeing what we can get out of our cars, So far I have the front mount intercooler that Im going to be custom fitting, boost controller, boost gauge, greddy type rs BOV, magniflow turboback exhaust that I will be custom fitting and some other plans to come. This is going to be a lil slow start due to it being winter time and I don't have a garage to work in.

Please feel free to give me helpfull input as I'm new to the performance end of our crazy opsession.

Is having a top-mount intercooler "upgrade" and getting a new front-mount intercooler redundant...?

Is it usually "one or the other" vs. both?

Im not sure what you mean if your thinking that im haveing the top mount plus the front mount thats not the case i'm getting rid of the top mount and going with a front mount

I've seen the TMIC for the CX-7 being sold but hadn't seen a FMIC for it yet (without custom work being done) so I wondered which is better?

Why did you decide to scrap the stock TMIC...?

Does the FMIC provide more HP gains?

Ya the front mount intercooler makes more HP due to alot more cooler airflow being directed into the engine. From what I understand it adds ruffly 40-50hp
correct me if im wrong
