Upgrade for more low frequency response...maybe

Alright, I am no audiophile by any means... (Unless you count the sounds the twin flowmasters on my truck make at WOT. )
With that said, I recently recieved a Bazooka 8 inch amplified speaker from a friend of mine for a gift. I thought it might be rather interesting to see what you guys thought of this thing. I plan on installing it sometime later in the week. Here is a link to the weird looking thing. Anyways, before I put it in the car, tell me what you guys think... Thanks!

I had a self amplified bass tube yeas ago in my nissan and It was ok...........not too bad to hook up but kinda to much just for a bass tube........expecially only 8'' ,But hey in your case It was a gift ....cant beat that! I'd say try it out .....do you only have stock system in there now?

Yeah... I had every intention of keeping the stereo stock for the life of the car, but I figure what the hell, its free. My friend has installed them before, so I will probably get his help... I might upgrade the speakers in the door as well, depending on how much I like the tube.
