Unichip

Thanks for the detailed pics of the packaging. If I'm correct, it's the first set of pics out that shows the packaging, ( but I could be wrong ). Some of us like to see what we are getting.

I'm glad that the install went good for you, it seems like everyone that gets this unit doesn't have any problems at all. Keep us informed..

My car peaks at 14 psi, but I don't have a FMIC. Stock boost for me was ~7 psi. I still haven't tried map B until I get a better IC and some race fuel. Let me tell you that if I am cruising at 40 mph in 4th gear and drop to 2nd, the car pulls super hard. I thought revving my 178 whp GSR to 8100 rpm was a rush, this is way beyond that!

I'm running Sunoco Ultra 94 btw I don't think I mentioned that in my thread...time for an edit...:)

Damn this chip sounds awesome. After I get my turboback and sri this week im gonna save up to get this for sure. Do any of you have wideband A/F gauges yet? Whats your A/F ratio's?

what i want to know now is if it's safe to run map B on california's 91 octane. i'm hoping that it'd be okay

Ok here is a short blurb guys....btw my warranty was ****** ages ago ;) I will be testing more tonight and tommorw and I'll have jersey_emt and prospeed (srt4 convert) take the car out for a spin and give thier input as well.

Perf Mods:

Spool FMIC
Injen Intake
Billet Design 3 inch turboback
Magnecor Ignition wires
Copper NGK Extended Reach Plugs
Walbro Fuel Pump

(prior to installing the unichip I was running 10 psi with no problems with a turbo xs dual stage boost controller)

Running Sunoco Ultra 94 :)

Map "A" - This is the map the unichip tuners should have shoved up Mazda's ass. The car pulls beautifully without the slightest bit of hesitation. I revved to redline and noticed clean power all the way through. With my fmic it hit about 7 psi...I guarantee you even if you don't want to run higher boost you will really love this product. Its worth it even to keep the stock boost....(but who does ;) )

Map "B" - Holy ******* hell....I thought the car pulled with the turboxs at 10psi...it a ******* monster now. Torque steer is sick and the power literally pulls you to your seat. People were not joking when they compared it to be "almost" like an evo 8. I've driven an evo before and its quite close. I haven't romped on map "B" yet fully since I haven't had a chance to get on a highway yet. Normally I get some good runs up my street but there are a lot of kids out and I don't want to take a chance. It hit close to 15psi at one point but you all know the preciseness of an autometer boost gauge...I am going to get an electronic one sometime soon to really see where I peak. As the rpm range raises as mentioned before it hits close to 10psi which is still very noticibly faster than my 10psi setting on my dual stage prior to the install.

Things to watch out for during the install:

Nothing really. Its simple and the directions are perfect with included color pictures. The only thing that threw me off is when I was all done the car would not start with power on throughout. I closed all the doors re-engaged the alarm, opened again then she started right up.

OVERALL A KICK ASS MOD WHICH GETS AN A+ FROM ME....stay tuned more to come! :)
thats ******* awsome...
