yea its definately straight. I just like his flow alot better on the older ish.

Everyone Give me a lil time to organize this gmail thing. I didnt know it was going to get such a good response. for now u can check out ughh.com they have snippets and u can buy alot off them.

I dont know if the mp3 thing is legal but im tryin to get exposure to these guys so the worst they do is make me take it down but like i said, without word of mouth i wouldnt know about alot of artists. Just make sure u support em if u like how it sounds and buy their cd if they have it. /plug

Ive been really into atmosphere and felt lately.. can't get enough of slug and ant

Definately. Soon as i get some new ones! I think mine finally had it.

Cannibus's freestyles are so tight. hes definately got some ill s*** to say but his records arent all that great. I think its TOO much caniibus at once. when he camos, freestyles, batttles its all gravy but on one track its just relentless lyrics and is too much for one to get into.

Atmosphere is good too. The song "Trying to find a balance" off of sevens travels seems to be a popular one. God loves ugly is a good album too.

their new album You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having is amazing

I mentioned co-flow but since they dont exist anymore. good point. el-p is an accuired taste ahahaha. I love it tho.

ok the email is setup, those who want it, have to pm me, the reason is, i can keep track of who has the password, so if problems arise i know who has it mwhahahah

but i put a welcome message and ill start uploading songs after 6, if u have a song u can send it to hiphop.educationATgmailDOTcom. (replace AT with @ and DOT with .) I would prefer you screen your mp3's first for virus's and quality. Dont load crap on there please. Not all these will be underground artists and i understand that, some are copywrited. So please read the welcome email and dont upload a whole album so this gets shut down. 3 songs max per artist is plenty of music to get the exposure out there and to nod ya head.

Thanks

copied from welcome message to here since people dont need to have access to the account to submit music....

When you upload, limit the uploads to 1 per email, and in mp3 format. Try to load up quality mp3's so we can listen to them as intended to hear. In the subject put the Artist and Title of song, in the body if you want to put a little review or notes please do. Try to put an upload in every email and any discussion you may want to have, keep it in this thread.

when I have more time, like maybe this evening I'd like to submit some stuff...
I have full albums. some stuff I listed earlier.. and more old school rap...
Everyone should have a copy of "Three feet high and rising" if they do not already... (thumb)

I think this might be the best thread ever... (hah)

edit: full albums might not be such a good idea...

ya, for them to get the music they need access. But some people might just want to share what they like and not bother to download other stuff, in which case they can just fire off emails and those with access can listen to them

This thread was a great idea. Here's my $.02, even though a lot of them have been mentioned already:

Aesop Rock - check out anything by this guy

Sage Francis - like 90% of his stuff. Check out "Slow Down Gandhi", "Different"

Eyedea & Abilities - "Now"

Quannum Projects - "Jada's Revenge"

Immortal Technique - Probably should stear clear if you're a George Bush fan. Tracks you should get = "4th Branch", "Cause of Death", "Peruvian Cocaine"

Rob Sonic -Telicatessen cd is good, "Super Ball", "Strange Hammer"

Vordul Megilah - formerly of CanOx, "Spitamatic", "Blade"

Busdriver - some crazy stuff, chech out "Imaginary Places"

Tech N9ne - not exactly underground, but still doesn't get played on the radio. Get "This Ring", "Imma Tella", "The Grinch", to many others to list...

Swollen Members - "Fuel Injected", "Full Contact", "Lady Venom"

Spooks - "Deep Cuts", "Karma Hotel", "Sweet Revenge"

Promatic - "Do what I wanna"

Cap One - Not really thinking man's music, but it's fast and loud. "Chi Town's Finest", "Ride n Smoke"

Blackalicious - "A to G",

Andre Nickatina - "Ayo for Yayo", "Alligator Blood"

Don't forget Gorillaz, they're more than just "Clint Eastwood"

Hangar 18 - "Blown Bubble"

I'll stop now. Sorry to monopolize page 4.
