heh, that's why I mentioned that Rich won't have his FMIC for 1-2wks still...
eh thanks for ur help but i was waiting beau to post hehe.

UPDATE:

The MSP test car finally started to show some near stalling issues from the single SSQV. It isn't completely stalling out, but when going from full boost straight into hard braking it would nearly stall out and the warning lights would come on. Beau doesn't want ANY possible safety issues with his kit, so it will now come with a BoostSciences Reflex BPV instead of the SSQV.

If anyone still wants the sound of the SSQV, then the BOV/BPV setup (SSQV + Reflex) will be offered for an additional 200 dollars.

If all goes to plan, I should have my kit installed by the end of next week.

If this was already answered earlier in this thread, please forgive me, but was this being tested witht he recirc fitting when you experienced the near stalling condition?

you can buy it by calling Mental Addiction directly or PMing me, I can take your info for you.

Just out of curiousity, if I ordered the mam fmic kit with the dual bov/bpv, this includes the flange for the bov already attached to the piping, correct? If so, where is the placement on the piping, and can you get pics of what the dual setup look like on the mam kit. Thanks

No, the test car was running the purple fin.

whats the point of the fans that come with the FMIC kit?

When you remove the stock IC, the primary cooling fan becomes very inefficient because it pulls most of the air through the empty hole instead of pulling it through your radiator. The 2 options when going with a FMIC are to leave the weak factory fans but also have to leave the stock IC... or you can upgrade to the slimmer, more powerful fans and take it out. The stock fans draw a very low CFM per AMP (can't remember exactly what the number is right now, 40 per amp rings a bell though), and the slimfans put out like 4 times that.

This all means that your car will run cooler with no overheating problems like some other FMIC kits, and your AC will most noticeably be colder in the hot months.

Hope this helps.

Alright, since my manifold thread is now closed (for reasons unknown to me), I will post pics of my installed mani here. I was going to wait until I cleaned my engine bay, but since that will probably never happen in the winter... The second pic is to show the clearance with the turbohoses hardpipes. I am still at stock boost and can feel a definate increase in power in the higher powerband (as you would guess with the longer runners). I can't feel any loss in low-end torque. Overall I am 110% satisfied. If anybody buys this and has questions with install feel free to contact me. It is pretty straight-forward, but there are a few bolts that are a PITA unless you know ahead of time what to expect (then they are a piece of cake).

very nice... u must really hate ur strut bar tho lol. btw what are ur plans with ur car ? are u gonna upgrade the turbo? how many whps are u trying to make ?

LOL. That's my strut bar off my first wrecked MSP. I sent mine to MSPRO for her CF one, and I had to pound this one into shape to get it to fit (I rolled my first MSP three times). My plans for the car are between 250 and 300 WHP. Deciding how much I want to get into it financially.
