ultimate shifting machine 1.0

Ill have an answer for you in a few days.. got all the AWR mounts in the mail and should be here in a few... once i get them, ill let you know. But i may be a bit bias since i have not driven my car for 8 months... DAMN the MAN.

i can add a lil something to this topic.

recently picked up the awr tranny mount @ 88 duro. i should also add that i also have the awr dog bone already on for some time now.
install was pretty simple, even with basic hand tools. a few bolts are a b**** to get at but still completely manageable.
first impressions are wow. way to much. lots of tranny noise and harshness from this particular mount. you can "feel" the car winding up as you row threw the gears. there's also a lil buzz at idle that transmits threw the steering wheel and pedals.
bang between gears is all but completely eliminated. shift feel is more sharp with a more positive feeling engagement. vibration at idle is almost zero, with only a lil buzz when cruisin at a givin speed.

for overall shift improvement this mount works great. for everyday driving not so much. i opted to re install the factory mount and the difference between the two was even more staggering.

the factory mount is noticeabley more civil. obviously at the cost of great shifting. would the lower duro tranny mount be more tolerable? if i had to guess i'd say no. based on the fact the even if i could have it in between the the two, i'd assume the change in shift would be minimal but at the expense or increased NVH. the duro would have to be as low as the factory's rating to be noiseless for DD. hence negating any improvement. IMHO, this expereince has taught me that this is not the mount to upgrade for DD shift improvement.

however, reinstallation of the factory mount was done in maybe 15 min. at the most. so it will make a great track day addition, given its easy in/out.

just thought i'd add that in there:D please forgive any spelling errors.
