I'll let him respond - but in general I wanted to mention that its a bad BAD idea to hit the brakes as you crest a hill at any kind of respectable clip. Getting the rear end squirrelly is fun, especially when its recoverable - but I prefer doing that kind of driving only on parking lots, around cones

as a general rule this is the best tactic...but sometimes you want to brake while turning to shift weight over the front tires to rotate the car...this is usually planned and executed before the turn [drift style]...depending on the track and the line you are following this sometimes is the best option...but not for the inexperienced driver especially on a 2 lane road with rather dangerous ditches and trees to smack into
