twm short shifter

ok im having some issues lol. im about to order a short shifter for the p5 but i need to know if this one will fit.

Mazda Protg (2000-2003 All MP3 w/ Manual Trans.) - TWM Performance Short Shifter w/ Ball Bearings (Throw reduction: 45%, Knob Height Reduction: 2 in.)

when im goign through the site it takes me to this ss, so im hoping this is it just didnt know, heard good things about twm and kartboy are they very simalar?

Yeah, it'll fit. I like Kartboy for the fact that their company car is a P5.

yea after much research and indesicion i went with kartboy and love it - get the bushings no matter what though.

i do liike stock hieght reason being is i liike to rest my elbow on the middle console thingy and have my hand on the knob its like perfect hieight... whats the advantage to getting the kartboy?

I have that TWM shifter and it r0x0rz!!

I love my TWM! Had the B&M also and I think the TWM is better... I guess just personal preference though.

I have the TWM and Kartboy bushings and it's top notch. I chose the TWM over the others because they include the spacers for the heatshield, rather than having to bend it down by hand...

Hey Skinny, if you like the stock height of the shifter, I wouldnt recommend the Kartboy. It is the shortest one of all. I just installed the TWM SS and Kartboy bushings a couple of weeks ago. Here are two pics to show you the diff in height from stock to TWM:

ok from what i gather looks like u took an 1 1/2 inchs to 2inches. so i guess the best thing toget is the twm with the kartboy bushings? thx for the pics. i plan on getting this mid jan, with a greddy shift knob, it the same one in my 240 and i really like it.

Hey Skinny, there is also a Perrin SS which is height adjustable. I dont know of anyone on here with one, tho.

Yeah, I have the Kartboy bushings as well. Still getting used to it, but I do like the very short throws.

it seems that alot of ppl are saying definatly kartboy bushings so ima go with that and the twm ss but thx for looking out.

im kinda down cuz my 240 is leaking anti freeze now i guess the water pump around the seal isnt holding sigh... jeeez but i took it around the block and i love that thing.
