Tweeter Install

Thats not do to alternator load, that just our ECU staking its sweet ass time cranking up the voltage regulator (I assume atleast :D)

So where would the best place to install my tweeters then..

All I have installed was the AMP/Sub, which was easy to do (still have to clean up a little wiring, but really adds some nice depth to the music so far..)

What about getting the corners from a protege se/lx or 02 p5 and replacing the ones in the 03 p5 (thus removing the stock tweeters, and mounting them there..) I do not want to drill holes in my door..

Also, where is a good place to put the crossovers, between the panel and the door?

Thanx

Crossover typicly go exactly where you described.

You should play around with the tweeters positioning. Most people will ned up with them by the a pillars.

YOu may be able to remove the factory tweeter without messing up the factory grill. All you will have to do then is put th enew tweeter in there and secure it and your done.

i would put the tweeters in the kickpanels.also you have a higher risk of damaging the tweeters with hu power quicker than putting a 100rms amplifier to them.the hu power isnt that great and doesnt have much control.they should be fine at normal volume but when you crank it, it could cause some damage due to the lack of control.

The highest I go is usually only half way volume wise with my deck now and the stock speakers...

The loudest I get is like 17 or 18, it goes up to 35.

I am gonna replace the corner peices in the A pillars with similar ones from a protege with out the tweeters, and install my own..

I want to make it so if I want to get rid of the car (6-8 years from now), I don't damage any stock stuff..

well if you stay at those volume levels i would say that it will be fine.check on a price r a new set of kickpanels, they might not be that much.having the tweeters in the kicks is well worth the money fopr new kicks..
