After seeing some pics from a fellow member I decided to give it a try. I waxed the P5 and the wife's Vue in an hour and barely used any of it. I guess the real test will be the next rainfall to see how it holds up. But as far as application, it goes on and off super easy.

How would you say it is compared to your last wax as far as application and appearance?? (and what was your last wax??)

I went out and bought this stuff yesterday on a whim. It was very easy to work with, especially since I suck at waxing/washing, it left a very good shine when I was done. Of course it rained last night and I checked it this morning, it had the bit of dirt/dust on it but was still farily shiney. I Can take pictures if anyone wants to see.

It's not a paste, it's just a liquid that you squirt on to an applicator, let dry for 3-5min, wipe off the excess, and then buff dry with a microfiber. You can see the bottle behind the cloth.

PS It smells good too (lol2)

Waxed/Unwaxed, I'm a novice so hopefully it looks alright!

its a liquid... very smooth and a little thick... its like blood, jus clear...

I've used this product twice on my car and once on the wife's. It goes on very easy (use just a little!) and leaves no dusty residue. Best part besides ease of applicaton is that it doesn't discolor non-painted surfaces such as rubber mouldings and black plastic parts.

The major problems I have with this product are that it doesn't seem to leave a slick or smooth surface, even after claying the car. The damage I have to my clearcoat is still very evident after application. The other limitation is the durability. On the very next washing the water will bead very poorly for one week old wax, especially compared to Meg's Gold Class. I have not used the QD (quick detailer) yet, which may help the slick feeling and/or the durability of the product.

End result: just ordered some Zaino Z-2PRO + ZFX and Z-6 QD spray.

As other posters have stated it is a liquid and smells nice. Application is very easy. It can be applied in direct sunlight (I actually waxed mine at two in the afternoon with no cloud cover). Simply squirt the wax on the supplied applicator and rub on vehicle. I wiped it on the car then went back to where I started and began the wipe off/buff process. Appearance is great, just waiting for it to rain good so I can see how it will last.

My last wax was Eagle One. Biggest difference in application is the Ice doesn't leave any marks on plastic pieces (see the pic of my Vue). Also leaves behind no residue in the cracks to be wiped out later.

**edit** After reading NVP5White's post it doesn't sound too promising for durability. If that is the case then at least it applies easily.

I might go out and get this. I would rather get the zaino, but my cars paint dont deserve it right now. Question, does it leave the surface nice and smooth? reason I ask is it's very polleny here now and after a day my black car is becoming yellow. Does a microfiber towel just slide over easily? I haven't used a lot of polishes but my favorite so far has been the nufinish. thing left my car so damn shiny and smooth you couldn't lean on it cause you'd fall.

haha, yeah it is a team associated sticker. I'm suprised though, only one person has asked me if it stood for "American Eagle" - I figured everyone would assume that's what it meant.

I kind of feel the same way about my cars finish. I need some major work done to smooth out my clearcoat.

The Gold CLass I used last year seemed to do a much better job at getting the surface slick and shiney. I have a white car so I don't worry about the 'wet look' or having a wax make my paint look darker, so I can't comment if you have a dark car. The Ice doesn;t seem to prevent pollen and other environmental contaminents from sticking. In fact, after a few dry days the car is coated thoroughly and does not come clean after a short rain like it used to.

Basically, what I'm looking for good protection for the paint while providing decent slickness and shine. The Zaino with ZFX will allow for multiple coats which should allow it to outlast just about anything else. I plan to wax the car about every three months, two coats each time. I think that will do it.

The pollen does stick like crazy. Waxed it on Monday and had a fresh coat of pollen Tuesday afternoon.

We got a rainstorm tonight and it beaded up pretty good, so time will tell. I did wipe down an area with a microfiber towel and it slid nicely across the paint. But upon rubbing my hand on it, smooth but rough (if that makes sense). Probabley because it has never been clay-barred(sp).
