TurboXS BPV?!?!

Seems like a lot of people have the Forge BPV as a direct replacement...but what about the TurboXS BPV? Anyone have it?

I had a hybrid before...Turbosmart. I loved the sound and all but it gave me a few driveability issues, so I sold it. I am looking into the forge bpv, but not sure how I feel about the sound :/. Then I came across the turboxs bpv, but did some searches and no one seems to have it.

For the turbosmart valve it was 50/50 VTA/recirc. So same symptoms as running VTA, but only half as bad, lol. I still ran rich between shifts, so some stumbling/backfires (not major but enough to bother me). Also, it just didnt drive as smooth. If you accel normally and abruptly let of the gas, it just decels funny/jerky (due to valve). Put the stocker back on and things ran smoother and better.

Now I am just looking for something to direct replace the stock one...and have the ability to adjust the spring/tightness with mods in the future. Just don't feel so good about the forge sound, lol. I would like to hear it in person but I don't think anyone around here has one.

Yeah, since you already have that I guess that shouldn't hold you back from it. I think the turbosmart sounds awesome and is the way to go (over turboxs)

I just bought a used TorboXS BOV and love it. My only complaint is that the stock hose that goes to the end nipple will be a bit short. I made it fit but it needs to be replaced. I'm just waiting for a nice day to do it now.

oh, awesome. How do you like it? How does it work? Does it work just as well as the stock one? (driveability)

Yeah drivability hasn't changed a bit. It sounds pretty good. Not as loud as some I've heard but hey I paid $75 shipped so whatever. I do tend to mute the radio a lot to hear it chirp when I shift. It seems when I shift at high RPMs in the first 3 gears I have a bit more nut. I imagine this is from it holding the boost. Overall I like it quite a bit. The only near issue like I said, is the hose being almost too short. $2 from a auto parts place gets you some new hose though.

I have had my Turbo X/S Hybrid valve since Febuary 07. Works perfect I use 4 washers but could get by with 3. Great quality product.
