Turbohoses SMIC & other SMIC fitament with Hard Pipes

FYI,

We are advising anyone purchasing "any" SMIC to consider if they are purchasing hardpipes now or in the near future. With all the different specifications/demensions of each SMIC, we have found that all of them may/may not accept different hardpipe kits, even if they are "near/close" to the stock location. Any change in the depth of the IC will affect the placement of the endtanks which will change the angle of the inlet/outlet.

Our SMIC works with our piping kit.

We also have in development new products for those that chose the FMIC route. Information on these products will be released shortly.

Feel free to call or email us, if you have any further questions.

mmm cant wait for info on this. any intake updates as well?

Does this mean that there will be a turbohoses FMIC that utilizes turbohoses hardpipes? If so, I know what I'm adding to the top of my Christmas list....!

If we were to make a FMIC, it would have it's own piping.
At this time, I can not give any information on our next product line.
However, there isn't anything as simple, yet innovative as our products that we are developing for anyone that has upgraded to a FMIC.

Stay tuned....

I was thinking of something like Pannauto or BEGI has coming out that utilizes the stock pipes for a FMIC. They also have those hardpipes available for a full FMIC/hardpipe upgrade, so I was thinking that for those who have just the turbohoses hardpipes (and I know there are quite a few) who might want to upgrade to a FMIC, you could do something like that. It shouldn't be too hard, just add a couple pipes and a FMIC core and BAM, another FMIC on the market. I just don't want to have to sell my hardpipes if I get a FMIC since I have a BOV flange already welded on, and I don't want to make another trip to the autoshop to get another flange welded on, which is why I've put off getting a FMIC.

Your smic will fit the stock pipes, so is it reasonable to assume that your smic will also fit other hardpipes designed in the same manner. Reason I ask is we have several customers who I have recommended your smic to, being as that unless I'm missing something should fit fine. From what I can decipher your smic will fit your hardpipes as well as all other hardpipes designed to connect to the stock IC, but other ICs having different dimensions may not work with your or other hardpipes designed for stock end tank placements.

Thanks for the referals, we've also sent anyone inquiring on steel pipes your way.

As long as the demensions of the intercoolers are the "same" as the OEM core, there won't be a problem. However, if anyone used a thicker core, this is where things begin to unalign. So far, we believe that the CS core is one that has fitament issues. Although, the geometry is the same, the core is a 1/2" thicker, which ultimately shifts the pipe to another location on it's vertical axis if you were looking at the engine from a birds eye view.

As you already know, the OEM pipes are quite a bit more forgiving than any hardpipes and adjustments can more/less be made to accomadate any SMIC.

Are you guys going to produce more SMIC's? Last I had heard from **********, you were out of them and not planning to make more at that point. That had me looking at other SMIC (or possibly FMIC) options.

I just bought CustomMSPs SMIC, now i am worried. hope i don't have to cut!!! will your hard pipes fit his?
If it doesn't fit then worst case you will get new silicon fittings. The pipes are of course going to fit because the keep the stock mounting locations.

Custom MSP claims his SMIC fits Turbohoses hardpipes. I know there is at least one person successfully running the combo.

so what about the circuitsports?

I know, who cares I tested the turbohoses, and it out performed my expectations.but it's just can to late,I allready had my FMIC.

hoover,the intake is performing great!
