turbo mp3 count

what psi are all you guys running?

right now im at 4psi... i need a boost controller...

it feels pretty quick but i want it to be a little faster... but thats the tale of boost...
 
4psi, the most i plan on running is 6. now i need to get my clutch and the rest of the exhaust/dumptube hooked up.
 
i think im going to bump it to 8psi ...

i have easy access to 110 oct and 94 oct .. so i think i should be running safe....

im also running a p5ecu till i get stand alone
 
i traded a member straight up for ecu's...

so we both were on the plus side of things...

i wont have to worry much about detonation..

and he gained a free 10 hp

sorry guys i would put my name up but i sold my spool kit over the summer. :(
 
I will be turbo'd in about 2 months, just got spool manifold and downpipe. I also ordered a T3/T4 turbo... only need wastegate, i/c, and piping and ill be all set.

I guess this means at least 1% of the MP3's are boosted!
 
How did you all get around the knock? If you used a P5 ECU how did you get around the error light?

Please help me figure this out, I am ready to go BOOST in a couple months.

azian6er and i are turboing a blue mp3 in the next cuple weeks for another member...

with the msp turbo kit...
 
I'm sure you could make anything work or fit on the MP3 that is on the msp since they have the same measurements. But I'm not sure why you'd want to- if you're going to turbo your MP3 I'd go with a kit that was designed for the MP3. IMO it'd be easier to install AND the turbo is bigger.
 
yep the stock msp turbo = suck when compared to the T3's offered by aftermarket kits.

imo the T3 is pretty much the best turbo for the protege to use in an enthusiest applicaiton (for not dragsters wanting to break 10's e/t's)
