Linux:

Did Norwood say anything about knock sensors? He was running a J&S unit on Kenny Tran's car. They had the Motec data logging the output from the J&S monitor plug.

Nope, but wow, that's some sweet info! (wow)

Domino, yeah I ran Pirana, and got smoked. His 10 PSI (tuned) to my 8 PSI (untuned), no match. Just wait a few weeks...(evil) Engine management is at hand!!!

Yea that issue is good. very in depth write up on the units. Also good idea with the evo idea daily driver evo race car p5...heheh

Anyone know about a piggy called: Wolf?
There is one Stock AutoTranny TurboP5 running 13.4s @18psi with a Wolf EMS on and forged internals engine. They break a lot the trans just testing.

stock AUTO tranny at 18 psi, yeah no. maybe one pass. people have blown them at 5-6 psi. im running 13 and it looks like a bomb went off in my tranny.

to run a complete do it right setup is about 4-6 grand on an auto with PCM recalaberation.

Damn, that's as much as a turbo system....Why don't you get your gears in you new transmission (manual or auto) cryo treated before it goes in? It supposedly provides a 100% increase in fatigue strength, and improvement in tensile strength as well. Relatively inexpensive to do too (usually less than $100). The process involves freezing your gears in liquid nitrogen, and then slowly heating them up to around 350 Fahrenheit. This is repeated 3 times over a 3 day period.

This is highly debated....many people think Cryoing gears actually makes things worse because of the added britlleness....if there is such a word:)

Thats what I think too.
I think gears hold enough as-is. Creative Performance here in PR is now testing a new proyect. The FS-DE engine with forged internals, total seal piston rings, mayor engine work, bigger turbo Haltech E6K and trans with just a Phantom Grip and some other stuff or course.
He wont allow me to see or talk of what is he doing, thats basically what I know. Ah...and it is mounted in a 323box.

We will see how it holds.

I'm gonna have to ask my brother in-law. He is from S.A. and all about tuning cars.
